Last weekend, I celebrated with Portland non-profit and doer of good, TanQ, for their 2-year anniversary and Charity Party! The party was free with a suggested donation, with awesome raffle giveaways and a silent auction, and all proceeds from the party went to the Red Cross, to help with tsunami support relief in Japan. The event also included lively performances from fire performer Fawn Destiny, Ritmo Latino Dance Company, ingauge dance company, and guitarist/singer Parfait.
This party showcased many of the beautiful shirts-for-a-cause that TanQ has created over the past two years, and it was definitely a team effort–owner Judy had a crew of fun-loving friends and connections helping with setup and production, an array of local companies offering beverages and bites, and her mom even contributed some homemade Asian snacks. The room was full of warmth and connection, which couldn’t have been more appropriate for a party with the goal of doing good deeds.
Photos from my photobooth are available here, if you want web photos to save and share, and prints are available for order online. Or, you can check out some highlights from the evening below!
